NDIS Support Coordination is a service that helps participants understand and implement their NDIS plans. A Support Coordinator works with you to connect with providers, build your capacity to manage services, and make sure you’re using your funding effectively to achieve your goals.
Support Coordination is included in your NDIS plan under “Capacity Building” if the NDIS deems it necessary for you to navigate and manage your supports. Not all participants automatically receive it, so it’s important to check your plan or speak to your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) about eligibility.
Your Support Coordinator will help you:
Understand your NDIS plan and budget
Find and connect with suitable service providers
Coordinate and schedule supports
Monitor service agreements
Prepare for plan reviews
They act as your guide, advocate, and problem-solver throughout your NDIS journey.
Plan Management handles the financial side of your NDIS plan—like paying invoices and managing budgets. Support Coordination, on the other hand, focuses on helping you find the right services, build independence, and make your plan work effectively. You can have both services in your plan.
If your NDIS plan includes Support Coordination, you can choose a registered provider (like us) to begin working with. We’ll meet with you to understand your needs, then create a coordination strategy tailored to your goals. If it’s not in your plan but you feel it’s needed, speak to your planner or LAC.
